Iowa saw 21 tracts with a total of 2,183 acres sell at public auction the week of August 13, 2023. The average dollar per CSR2 was $194, which is up 4% from the previous week, and up 8% from Q2’s average of $179. The $/CSR2 average for the year so far is $182, so Iowa’s average price last week was up approximately 6% from the overall average YTD.

Osceola County had the high sale of the week, with 80.86-acres selling for $17,200/acre or $197/CSR2. Shelby County had an extraordinary $/CSR2 sale: 50.5-acres of cropland with a CSR2 of 51.7 sold for $14,100/acre or $291/CSR2.

Peoples Company hosted a multi-tract auction in Kansas on August 15, with 10 tracts selling at an overall average of $2,569/acre.

Illinois also had more tracts selling this week than usual, with 15 tracts selling across the state at an average of $16,080/acre.
