I had the opportunity to visit one of my managed farms in central Iowa a few weeks ago. We always seek to be a good partner and building strong, positive relationships is important to our management approach. Once established, food plots provide supplemental nutrition for deer, especially during critical times like winter and early spring when natural forage is scarce. Soil fertility, plant selection, and weed control are just a few of the key components that contribute to the overall success of deer food plots.
